RV TRAVEL FIRST AID FOR STOMACH PAIN - APPENDICITIS

Although a stomach pain may simply be the result of eating too much or too quickly, or mixing incompatible foods, it can also signal a more serious problem, from an infection to appendicitis.Stomach pain is pain that you feel in the the area between your chest and groin.

The key is to know when you must seek medical care right away. In many cases you can simply wait, use home care remedies, and seek care at a later time only if the symptoms persist.

Appendicitis is an emergency that must be treated surgically. It cannot be treated at home or later. If you suspect that you or your child has appendicitis, CALL IMMEDIATELY FOR EMERGENCY MEDICAL ASSISTANCE OR GO TO THE HOSPITAL.

SIGNS OF APPENDICITIS:
Stomach pain (usually in the right lower side of the belly), fever, nausea, and vomiting.

FIRST AID:
THERE IS NO FIRST AID FOR APPENDICITIS!
CALL IMMEDIATELY FOR EMERGENCY MEDICAL ASSISTANCE OR GO TO THE HOSPITAL!
Do not take any medicine, food, or drink.
Do not take laxative of any sort.
Do not knead your stomach in hope of relieving the pain.
Try to lie down and wait quietly for the doctor to come.
Should the pain become excessive, have someone fill an ice bag and apply it to the painful area.
