Recreational Vehicle RV Education with the RVDA of Canada
The
RVDA of Canada works with provincial RVDAs and North
America-wide organizations to research, develop and coordinate
delivery of various type of training to maintain a high
quality of service in the RV industry. Current educational
opportunities include:
| Conventions
|
|
The
annual RV Dealers Convention/Expo featuring the
RV Learning Center is being held at the Rio
All-Suites Hotel in Las Vegas. The Learning Center
training takes place in high-tech workshop rooms
that enchance the learning experience for all dealership
employees who attend. The Expo in the Rio Pavilion
is also a must-see for dealers to learn about the
latest in RV dealership management technology, financing
options, and other new products and services.

| National
Service Seminars |
|
These
seminars are held for the continuing education of
service technicians. This training event is three
(3) days in length, generally held once per province
per year. Further details will be available soon.
|
| RV
Technician Satellite Training |
|
The
RV Service Satellite Distance Learning Program
has been organized by the RVDA of America. The
modules are available September through June, broadcasted
weekly. Training can be commenced at any time within
that period. More advanced training sessions are
being investigated as well as multiple transmission
times. The result speak for themselves.

The DRIVE SAFE program is a one-day Driver Training
course for the RV owner, a cooperative venture between the
Ontario RV Dealers Association and the Ontario
Safety League. The goal of the course is to offer professional
road safety training for recreational vehicle owners, where
none exists at present. It will give the new owner and veteran
RV driver alike the skills and confidence to operate their
vehicle in the various traffic and road conditions they
will experience.

First class is set for January 12, 2004. The class will
be held at Georgian College. There are 3 levels. Each level
is 8 weeks in length with a 9-12 months spacing between
each level.
